Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver evidence-based care, demonstrating accountability, respect, and empathy for patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team and family members to ensure continuity of care and promote patient satisfaction.
  • Direct the work of support staff in the provision of care, utilizing critical thinking skills and minimal supervision.
  • Perform general nursing duties, including assessments, interventions, and evaluations, using sound nursing judgment and technical skills.
  • Work effectively as a member of a team, demonstrating a high degree of empathetic listening skills, tact, and kindness towards others.
  • Utilize basic computer knowledge and technical skills to document patient information and communicate with the healthcare team.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred.
  • Current Registration and Licensure in the State of Iowa as an RN, in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS certification, with new employees certifying within three months after hire date.
  • Current ACLS certification, with new employees obtaining per guidelines of the Education Course Requirements policy.
  • Nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a high degree of flexibility and adaptability. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team-based setting, with a strong focus on patient-centered care and collaboration.
