Surgical Technologist III, Orthopedic Coordinator, Full-Time

Piedmont Newton Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist III to join our Orthopedic Department. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for facilitating patient care by assisting physicians during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians during surgery, performing technical and patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Function as a clinical specialist across numerous service lines, providing expertise in surgical specialties as needed.
- Maintain surgical specialties and serve as a resource for the surgical team.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program required.
- Surgical Tech Certification and 3 years of experience required. In lieu of Surgical Tech certification, 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years Surgical Tech experience.
- Current GA LPN License if applicable.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist Required or Licensed as an LPN required.
- BS certification required.
- Experience working in an Orthopedic Department.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
