Job Title: Travel Ob/Gyn Sonographer

MetaSense, Inc. is seeking a skilled Travel Ob/Gyn Sonographer to join our team for a travel assignment in Dallas, Texas.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced and certified sonographer to work in our obstetrics and gynecology department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ultrasound technology and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  1. Operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images for obstetrics and gynecology patients.
  2. Evaluate and verify image quality to ensure compliance with quality control protocols.
  3. Review and interpret intermediate/complex exams with attending physicians to determine additional procedures.
  4. Determine equipment needs for complex examinations to ensure availability of necessary supplies.
  5. Identify and distinguish appropriate modalities of cardiac ultrasound, including motion mode, Doppler, two-dimensional, and color flow.
  6. Maintain and perform intermediate troubleshooting of ultrasound equipment and inform supervisor as needed.
  7. Inspect, clean, and prepare exam rooms after each patient to ensure efficient patient flow.
  8. Complete, log, and distribute billing reports to ensure accuracy of patient charges.
  9. Identify ways to improve work processes and customer satisfaction, making recommendations to supervisor and implementing changes as needed.
  10. Participate in research studies regarding intermediate sonographic procedures with other medical staff to improve information sharing.
  11. Provide clinical instructions for new physicians and fellows in the area regarding sonographic practices and procedures.
  12. Assist residents in obtaining diagnostic images as necessary and serve as a resource for new staff.
  13. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments, advancements, and trends in sonography by attending seminars and workshops, reading professional journals, and maintaining certification.
Requirements:
  • At least 1+ years of experience in sonography working OB/GYN cases.
  • Travel experience preferred.
  • ARDMS OBGYN discipline required; Fetal Echo certification strongly preferred.
  • MUST have MFM, high-risk OB/GYN, and pre-natal experience.
  • ALL certs must be active.
