POSITION SUMMARY

The role involves providing comprehensive assistance to the Industrial Security Manager (ISM) and the Corporate Facility Security Officer (FSO) within the industrial security sector. This position is crucial in ensuring adherence to security protocols and regulations, particularly those outlined in 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), and is vital for compliance with Department of Defense (DOD) and other federal agency security standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support all activities related to the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) under the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). Responsibilities include creating individual DISS profiles, processing security clearance applications, verifying personnel data, and managing visitor authorization requests.
  • Ensure the maintenance of facility clearance documentation and notifications for all cleared facilities within the DCSA's database.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate FSO to uphold compliance with NISPOM and DD 441 across all Katmai entities with facility clearances.
  • Prepare Visit Authorization Requests (VARs) through DISS or alternative methods.
  • Provide expert guidance to executives and staff on security-related issues, including conducting briefings and training sessions on security clearance processes.
  • Review security documentation for accuracy and completeness before submission through the appropriate governmental systems.
  • Instruct employees on the completion of security forms and related training requirements.
  • Report on the status of security clearance applications to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized records of all security documentation in accordance with DCSA regulations and best practices.
  • Assist in monitoring compliance with security training initiatives and deliver security awareness materials across the organization.
  • Conduct regular internal audits and self-assessments as required.
  • Aid the Corporate FSO in preparing necessary documentation for DCSA security evaluations.
  • Provide security-related support to Human Resources, Contracts, and Proposal teams.
  • Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.
  • Complete mandatory FSO training courses through DCSA within the designated timeframe after hiring.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY ROLE

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to obtain and sustain a DOD Secret Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship is mandatory).
  • Proficiency in using standard office equipment and software applications.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Familiarity with database management systems, including Microsoft Access.
  • Experience with web-based data management systems.
  • Working knowledge of DCSA databases such as DISS, NBIS, NISS, and SWFT.
  • Understanding of security protocols for handling Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
  • Must be able to meet any necessary security access and background check requirements.

DRIVING REQUIREMENTS

A valid state driver's license is required, and the candidate must be insurable under the company's automobile insurance policy. Limited driving may be necessary for training or local travel.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The position is primarily remote, although the company reserves the right to require onsite work as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

  • Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 annually
