Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Correctional Custodian to maintain the safety and security of our correctional facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for escorting and transporting incarcerated individuals, patrolling facilities, and conducting head counts and security checks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Escort and transport incarcerated individuals under restraint
  • Patrol facilities to maintain order and security
  • Conduct head counts and security checks of buildings, grounds, and incarcerated individuals' quarters
  • Monitor incarcerated individuals' movements and whereabouts
  • Guard and direct incarcerated individuals during work assignments


Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must be able to satisfy and maintain eligibility requirements for obtaining a license to carry a firearm
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to pass a physical abilities test, psychological test, and background check
