Job Summary

This role primarily involves clinical responsibilities related to the diagnosis, treatment, and management of pediatric patients within a multidisciplinary environment that includes physicians, nurses, advanced practice providers, clinical scientists, and social workers. The position offers exposure to a diverse range of general and high-acuity pediatric cases, along with opportunities for teaching and research.

Job Specific Duties

  • Utilizes knowledge of growth and development in patient interactions and treatment.
  • Engages in continuous self-education through various professional development activities.
  • Coordinates and delivers educational sessions to meet the developmental needs of staff and residents.
  • Oversees follow-up of tests, lab studies, and patient follow-up communications.
  • Provides direct clinical services to patients, including comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, and patient education.
  • Contributes suggestions for departmental improvements to enhance patient care.
  • Participates in performance improvement initiatives, research, and publication efforts.
  • Serves as a mentor and educator for medical students and residents.

Qualifications

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an accredited medical school.
  • Current state medical license in good standing.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification maintained throughout employment.
