POSITION SUMMARY:
The role involves driving profitable business growth while overseeing a diverse portfolio of established companies with annual revenues exceeding $10 million, focusing particularly on those generating at least $20 million. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Independently identify and cultivate lucrative new client relationships by leveraging existing networks and referral sources.
- Formulate and implement a strategic business plan aimed at achieving financial objectives and qualitative targets.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to enhance current relationships and secure new business opportunities.
- Participate in community events and industry-specific forums to expand networking opportunities and deepen industry knowledge.
- Work alongside product specialists to analyze and develop tailored strategies for each client, ensuring alignment with their needs and the bank's risk appetite.
- Maintain regular contact with clients to strengthen advisory relationships and ensure their business requirements are met.
- Employ consultative selling techniques and best practices to enhance the overall client experience.
- Utilize the bank's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system for tracking client interactions and managing sales pipelines.
- Evaluate financial data to determine the viability of credit requests.
- Continuously monitor client financial performance and industry trends to manage risk effectively.
- Collaborate with Portfolio Managers and Credit Officers to adhere to established guidelines regarding credit requests.
SUPERVISORY ROLE:
This position does not include formal supervisory responsibilities but is expected to provide guidance to junior relationship managers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in Commercial Banking, with at least 5 years in a sales capacity.
- Formal commercial credit training or equivalent experience is required.
- Proven experience in underwriting is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with investment bankers to deliver strategic and capital market insights.
- Proven track record of building and expanding client relationships that lead to increased revenue.
- Strong analytical skills, with a thorough understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
- Comprehensive knowledge of commercial banking products, treasury management, and alternative financing options.
- Ability to assess client needs and optimize financial solutions accordingly.
- Effective communication skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented sales environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM tools is preferred.
- Willingness to travel as required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Standard office setting with minimal exposure to environmental factors.
- Prolonged periods of computer use.
- Frequent travel may be necessary based on business needs.
