Job Summary

The Certified Athletic Trainer will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and administering treatment of injured athletes under the direct supervision of the team physician. This position requires a strong understanding of athletic training principles and the ability to work effectively with coaches, athletes, and other school personnel.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat athletic injuries, including providing preventative and rehabilitative care
  • Develop and implement athletic training programs, including injury prevention and return-to-play protocols
  • Communicate effectively with coaches, athletes, and other school personnel to ensure seamless delivery of athletic training services
  • Maintain accurate records of athlete injuries and treatment
  • Collaborate with the team physician to ensure high-quality care for athletes
Requirements
  • Current licensure in athletic training in the state of Ohio
  • NATABOC certification
  • Bachelor's degree in athletic training or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in secondary school setting
Physical Requirements

The Certified Athletic Trainer must be able to frequently hear and communicate orally, see up close and at a distance, read and comprehend, stand, sit, walk, reach, handle, and/or feel objects. Must be able to climb, pull, push, squat, and/or kneel. Ability to demonstrate exercises properly without limitations. Maximum unassisted lift = over 50 lbs. Average lift 25-50 lbs.
