We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crossing Guard to join our team at Champaign Unit 4 Schools. As a Crossing Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of elementary school students while they cross the street.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise elementary school-aged children while they cross the street
  • Identify and respond to emergency situations at school crossings
  • Communicate effectively with motorists and pedestrians
  • Work in inclement weather conditions
  • Stand for 30 minutes or longer and walk several blocks to cross children at separate crossing locations when required
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent judgement and decision-making ability
  • Ability to command respect from motorists
  • Reliable transportation
