Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technician to join our team at NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island. As a Radiology Technician, you will be responsible for operating imaging equipment, preparing patients for exams, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate imaging equipment, such as X-ray machines and MRI scanners, to produce high-quality images of patients.
  • Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures, positioning patients, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment by following infection control protocols and disposing of hazardous materials.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques by attending training sessions and workshops.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RRT) in New York State.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to lift patients and equipment, and to stand for long periods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience as a Radiology Technician.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare software.
