Application Security Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Security Engineer to join our team at Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA). As a key member of our dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in identifying and mitigating security risks in our software applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement security training programs for internal and external development teams.
  • Provide expert guidance on architecture, authentication, encryption, and systems security for our software applications.
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to analyze and propose application security standards, methods, and architectures.
  • Assess and integrate security tools, particularly open-source tooling, to enhance our security posture.
  • Contribute to the development of secure software supply chain practices.
Requirements:
  • 2-4 years of experience in application security or a related field.
  • Ability to obtain Security+ certification within 6 months of employment.
  • Active DoD Security Clearance required.
