We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dining Room Operations Manager to oversee the meal service operations in our servery areas and dish room. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position with a hiring range of $25.73 per hour.
Key Responsibilities- Menu Management: Responsible for creating and maintaining accurate ingredient listings for menu and salad bar items, including identifying and labeling allergens.
- Cash Handling: Must accurately account for all cash and charge slips, and manage tender types, including charge cards and departmental charges.
- Staff Supervision: Organize and supervise Dining Room Attendants to ensure proper staffing, inventory management, and adherence to sanitation guidelines.
- Cleanliness and Sanitation: Ensure the dining area is properly cleaned and sanitized after each meal, and that staff are complying with sanitation guidelines.
- Security and Safety: Ensure the building is locked, dining area is secured, and supplies are properly stored after each meal.
- Technology Management: Responsible for managing the swipe program to capture accurate counts, and performing other services in the dining area as requested.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
- Certifications: Serve Safe certification required, and certificate from the Vermont State DLC to serve alcohol helpful.
- Skills: Knowledge of food sanitation standards, safety procedures, and ability to lift 10-20 lbs. numerous times each day and up to 60 lbs. frequently.
- Experience: 1-2 years of previous food service and/or supervisory experience.
