Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Equipment Operator to join our team at the Air Force District of Washington. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment, including graders, tractors, and front-end loaders, to construct, maintain, and repair roads, runways, and other infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment to perform tasks such as cutting, moving, digging, grading, and rolling earth, sand, stone, and other materials.
  • Maintain, repair, and construct flexible roads, pavements, parking areas, and other surfaces.
  • Utilize safety practices and procedures to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
  • Use and maintain power tools, hand tools, and related equipment.
Requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions, blueprints, drawings, and sketches.
  • Knowledge of engineering equipment and attachments, as well as safety regulations and practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and will be exposed to dust, dirt, and other environmental hazards. The ability to wear protective clothing, including hard hats, steel-toed shoes, and gloves, is required.
