Qualifications Required:
- Ability to read and comprehend Standard English.
- Skill in interacting tactfully and effectively with patients, families, staff, and visitors.
Physical Requirements:
- Capable of standing for 7-8 hours daily.
- Able to stoop, kneel, bend, and climb as required by tasks.
- Must frequently lift 20 to 25 pounds.
- Occasionally lift 50 to 75 pounds.
- Occasionally move heavy furniture weighing 75 to 100 pounds.
- Must have adequate vision, hearing, and communication skills to perform job duties.
- Ability to work with standard cleaning agents safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sanitize patient bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, tubs, and showers.
- Dispose of waste in patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
- Thoroughly clean patient rooms, including mopping and buffing floors, and dusting surfaces.
- Maintain cleanliness in hallways by sweeping, mopping, and following established cleaning protocols.
- Clean walls, furniture, and equipment as necessary to ensure a pleasant environment for patients and staff.
- Adhere to safety procedures when using cleaning chemicals.
- Follow established cleaning schedules diligently.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
