Full Time Nights, Variable

Shift Details:
7p-7a, Variable

Compensation:
Starting at $18.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
As a Nurse Extern, you will:
1. Assist in delivering nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
2. Support patient care by responding to calls for assistance, monitoring vital signs, and observing changes in patient conditions.
3. Enhance patient experiences by aiding with daily living activities, including bathing, feeding, and mobility.
4. Participate in procedures such as dressing changes, ostomy care, and specimen collection.
5. Foster a supportive environment through effective communication and emotional support for patients and their families.
6. Document patient information accurately and relay critical updates to the nursing team.
7. Engage in team initiatives and contribute to unit meetings and projects.
8. Prepare patients for discharge and ensure a smooth transition.
9. Maintain an organized and well-stocked environment for patient care.

Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program with completion of the first clinical rotation.
- No prior experience is necessary.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent communication and interaction with patients and team members.
- Capability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.

Work Shift:
Night Shift

Scheduled Weekly Hours:
36 hours
