Civil/Mechanical Superintendent

Job Summary:

Austin Industries seeks a highly skilled and experienced Civil/Mechanical Superintendent to oversee maintenance operations and ensure the effective execution of job tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background, excellent interpersonal skills, and a high level of safety awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review maintenance schedules and coordinate work with General Foremen
  • Provide daily resource reports to customers and perform field walks to ensure work force is assembling to work sites
  • Conduct safety audits and Time on Tools analysis
  • Interface with Unit Coordinators to determine effectiveness of Austin crafts
  • Attend daily schedule reviews and weekly scheduling meetings
  • Ensure effective utilization of rolling stock and validate Austin's safety policies
  • Inspect the quality work of craftsmen and identify skills for training needs
  • Support General Foremen in disciplinary actions and ensure the right skill set is placed for job tasks
  • Perform additional assignments per Site Manager direction and act as Site Manager in their absence

Qualifications:

  • Five years' experience as a maintenance superintendent or general foreman
  • Refinery experience with a strong mechanical background
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with customer reps
  • Computer literacy - excel, graphs, reports, IPad, etc.
  • A high level of safety awareness and ability to drive change in a positive manner
