Job Title: Physical Therapist - Travel Position

Good Samaritan Society is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team in Grand Island, NE. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering physical therapy programs to help clients/patients/residents recover and improve their mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities.

Job Summary

As a Physical Therapist, you will conduct examinations, evaluations, and interventions for clients/patients/residents affected by injury or disease. You will utilize tools and techniques to administer physical therapy interventions following safeguards and document client's/patient's/resident's information for evaluation. You will establish therapeutic plans and modify them if necessary, educate clients/patients/residents and their family members about treatment plans/schedules and self-exercises to be continued at home.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and deliver physical therapy programs to help clients/patients/residents recover and improve their mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities.
  • Conduct examinations, evaluations, and interventions for clients/patients/residents affected by injury or disease.
  • Utilize tools and techniques to administer physical therapy interventions following safeguards.
  • Document client's/patient's/resident's information for evaluation.
  • Establish therapeutic plans and modify them if necessary.
  • Educate clients/patients/residents and their family members about treatment plans/schedules and self-exercises to be continued at home.
Requirements

Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure. Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist. When applicable, may require valid driver's license. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications. Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.
