Position Overview:

This role involves overseeing and managing complex projects within the nuclear sector, ensuring successful execution and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead project initiatives for refueling outages, forced outages, and on-line operations, with a focus on safety, quality, schedule compliance, and budget management.
  • Oversee comprehensive project implementation, including budget oversight, work package development, parts procurement, and risk management.
  • Address schedule conflicts and delays, ensuring seamless project flow and timely completion.
  • Develop and monitor project budgets, aligning them with cost and resource expectations.
  • Engage regularly with clients, engineers, and management to ensure project alignment and progress.
  • Manage contracts and foster effective relationships with vendors.
  • Create and maintain project schedules that reflect project complexity, managing risks and tracking progress effectively.
  • Prepare and present written and verbal communications to various stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Formulate and sustain long-term strategic plans for assigned projects.
  • Support the implementation of self-assessment and corrective action programs.
  • Provide support during outages, including participation in operational control centers.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or a related field, accompanied by 14 years of relevant experience; or
  • Associate's degree with 16 years of experience; or
  • High School Diploma or GED with 18 years of experience in a technical field.
  • Project Management certification is mandatory.
  • Advanced degrees in related fields may substitute for two years of experience.
  • Extensive experience in supervisory or project management roles within the commercial nuclear industry, focusing on maintenance, operations, engineering, or construction.
  • Proficiency in managing complex projects, including online work management and outage-related activities.
  • Experience in nuclear plant operations and production coordination.
  • Knowledge of error reduction and cost-effective execution methodologies.
