**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide cleaning services to maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to facility policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Sweep, damp mop, and wet mop tile floors, and occasionally spray buff, strip, or wax floors, following center procedures.
  • Vacuum carpeted rooms as applicable.
  • Empty trash cans, clean exterior and interior, and replace with a clean can liner.
  • Clean bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets, following center procedures.
  • Clean glass surfaces such as mirrors, pictures, and windows.
  • Clean behind and underneath furnishings.
  • Follow infection control standards while performing cleaning.
  • Prevent/remove wax/dirt buildup in corners, around baseboards, and in doorways.
  • Change soiled privacy curtains and draperies for the outside windows as needed.
  • Remove and re-hang curtains and draperies for the outside windows, using a ladder.
  • Dust/damp clean surfaces in patient/resident rooms (furniture, bed frames, windowsills, etc.), following center procedure.
  • Move furniture to clean behind/underneath, according to center procedures.
  • Turn bed mattresses after cleaning.

**Requirements:**

  • No prior experience required, on-the-job training provided.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience with healthcare housekeeping or environmental services preferred.
