Fire Sprinkler Inspector Job Description

At Impact Fire Services, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Sprinkler Inspector to join our team. As a Fire Sprinkler Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, and repairing wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam systems, as well as testing and rebuilding backflow preventers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform fire sprinkler inspections and services per NFPA and engineering guidelines.
  • Inspect and service wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam systems as needed.
  • Repair and/or replace all sprinkler systems components.
  • Repair, replace, and rebuild backflow preventers as necessary.
  • Verify proper communication with monitoring station when working on a monitored system after repair.
  • Perform system tests to verify alarm & sprinkler systems are working properly upon completion of repair.
  • Report Deficiencies to Department Manager.
Requirements:
  • Massachusetts Fire Sprinkler Journeyman License.
  • 3-year AFSA Apprentices with current MA-SA card will be considered.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years field experience in Fire Sprinkler Inspections and service.
  • Must have or be able & willing to attain state Sprinkler and/or Backflow License.
  • Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of proven success in performance of Sprinkler inspection, installation, and service is highly preferred.
  • NICET Certification in Inspection & Testing of Water-Based Systems and/or Water-Based Systems Layout, preferred.
