About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our team at Tender Food, a revolutionary food company transforming the meat industry through sustainable and ethical production methods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and scale up novel processing systems for alternative meat production
  • Lead multiple process development projects, prioritizing and executing tasks efficiently
  • Design experiments to define QA/QC parameters and scale processes to support manufacturing capacities
  • Collaborate with diverse technical teams to solve complex problems and drive process understanding
  • Travel as necessary to oversee pilot line deployment and troubleshooting
Requirements
  • BS, MS, or PhD in chemical engineering, food science, mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in process development, leadership, and project management
  • Proven track record of developing novel processes, designing experiments, and scaling up processing systems
  • Knowledge of FDA GMP food processing, food product requirements, and macromolecular principles
  • Ability to thrive in an environment of uncertainty and define standards for excellent work
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CRO/CMO, manufacturing SOPs, and relevant trainings
  • Proven track record working in OSHA, Six Sigma, HACCP, Sanitary 3-A, sanitary design, CIP systems, USDA, or other food production standards/regulations
  • Ability to make decisions by turning uncertainty into calculated risks and lead projects with accountability, transparency, and empathy
