Job Title: Foundry Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Foundry Maintenance Technician to join our team at American Axle & Mfg., Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of all manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support production operations by performing maintenance requirements, including hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems as scheduled.
- Troubleshoot and maintain all plant equipment through sound troubleshooting techniques and superior repair methodology.
- Work from available drawings and equipment specifications and schematics.
- Perform preventative, predictive, and routine inspections maintenance.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
Requirements:
- Minimum two years of work experience in a similar role, ideally in a production-oriented environment with emphasis on gear boxes, motors, and conveyor lines.
- Knowledge of mechanical safety requirements.
- Strong mechanical analytical problem-solving ability.
- Ability to read and troubleshoot schematics.
- Experience in welding, sheet metal fabrication, and pipe fitting.
- Ability to troubleshoot lube and grease systems.
- Experience in repair, rebuild, or setup mechanical gear box assemblies.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as a team or independently with little supervision.
- Basic computer skills.
- Shift flexibility is essential.
