Job Title: Warehouse Operator

ASR Group, the world's largest refiner and marketer of cane sugar, is seeking a skilled Warehouse Operator to join our team at our Baltimore, MD location.

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Operator will be responsible for operating a forklift in all capacities, including production lines, stock rotation, and handling inbound materials. The successful candidate will ensure proper loading and unloading of trucks, take inventory, and perform other duties as directed by supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a forklift in a safe and efficient manner
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring minimal damage to sugar in transit
  • Take inventory and perform stock rotation
  • Notify Foreman of any unacceptable truck loads
  • Prepare necessary papers and obtain signatures as required
  • Rework partial pallets and damaged pallets
  • Perform other duties as directed by supervisor

Requirements:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with reasonable competence
  • Proficiency in operating a forklift truck
  • Ability to exercise proper judgment when stacking pallets
  • Proficiency in proper loading procedures
  • Ability to climb in and out of lift truck and occasionally climb stairs
  • Upper extremity function for grasping, pushing, pulling, and lifting
