Support Professional for Residential Group

A New Well is seeking a skilled Direct Support Professional to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to individuals with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. As a DSP, you will work directly with our clients, assisting them to become integrated into their communities in the least restrictive environment.
Job OverviewThe successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, the ability to maintain confidentiality, and a passion for promoting independence and community inclusion. You will work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement individualized support plans, ensuring that each client receives personalized care and attention.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care and protective oversight and supervision.
- Participate in the development and implementation of individual support plans.
- Assess and document instructional needs initially and on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure individuals health, safety and welfare, enhances the quality of individuals lives, and supports community inclusion.
- Provides direct assistance to the participant in self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills training, retention and improvement.
- High school diploma or General Education Development (GED);
- Professional License if applicable;
- Completion of the NLN exam on-line and assessment of competency for services to be performed, or completion of a provided 40-hour training curriculum and assessment of competency.
The salary for this position is approximately $13.50 per hour, based on a 40-hour workweek. A New Well offers a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, medical and dental coverage, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
