Job Summary

LaborOne Staffing is seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic or pneumatic equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reading and Interpretation: Read and interpret isometric drawings, take measurements, and fabricate and install piping efficiently.
  • Pipe Assembly and Installation: Align, bolt, and clamp together components of fabricated metal products to secure in position for welding.
  • Pipe Fabrication and Installation: Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment according to specifications by welding and threading joints.
  • Material Handling: Position and secure materials and workpieces during installation, and install all other items in accordance with the applicable plans and specifications.
  • Quality Control: Distinguish varying thickness and types of metal materials.
  • Equipment Operation: Manually handle and securely apply rigging equipment.
  • Tool Operation: Operate tools and equipment, including beveling machines, cut-off grinders, hammers, torches, magnetic drills, and a Saw-Zall.
  • Layout and Installation: Layout and install equipment, vessels, skids, pumps, pipe, and supports.
  • Hydro Testing: Hydro test piping systems.
Requirements
  • Education: May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Must possess working knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
  • Communication: Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
  • Physical Demands: Able to meet all physical requirements.
  • Tools and Equipment: Must have all required tools.
  • Work Environment: Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft).
  • Work Schedule: Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload.
  • Safety: Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
