Job Title: CNC Machinist

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at the Peoria Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and programming CNC machines to produce high-quality parts and products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and Program CNC Machines: Safely operate and program CNC machines to produce high-quality parts and products.
  • Prepare and Load Materials: Prepare and load materials and parts into CNC machines, ensuring accurate and efficient production.
  • Inspect and Test Products: Inspect and test products to ensure they meet quality and specifications standards.
  • Maintain Equipment and Work Area: Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and organized manner, performing basic preventative maintenance functions as needed.
  • Communicate with Team Members: Communicate with team members and management to resolve machining or quality issues, and to coordinate production activities.

Requirements:

  • Vocational Training: Vocational training in drafting, design, CNC machining programming, or other similar engineering technical training is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of CNC machine programming experience is required, with a broad knowledge of machining techniques and CNC machine tool operating procedures.
  • CAD/CAM/CMM Skills: Demonstrated experience in accurately interpreting engineering drawings and PCMs, with CAD/CAM/CMM skills and other computer-related experience.
  • CAD/CAM Software: Experience with CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, Fusion360, and MasterCAM.
  • Fixture Design and Tool Libraries: Experience with fixture design and tool libraries.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Waterjet, Forklift, CNC Experience: Waterjet, forklift, CNC, programming experience a plus.
  • Basic Math Skills: Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication.
  • Precision Measuring Instruments: Knowledge of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments, including but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators, and scales.
  • Architectural Millwork Industry Experience: Experience in the architectural millwork industry with hands-on involvement in operational activities.
  • Quality and Deadline Expectations: Must be able to meet quality and deadline expectations.
  • Computer Proficiency: Proficiency with computers and programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet.
