About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team at Jobot. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliation, and income statement analysis.
  • Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department.
  • Conduct regular ledger procedures, including reconciling bank statements and managing month-end activities to ensure timely closings.
  • Develop and implement effective internal controls to prevent inaccuracies in financial statements, budgets, and financial planning.
  • Analyze financial reports for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO's attention.
  • Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary.
  • Coordinate with the external auditors, prepare necessary documents, and assist with the annual audit process.
  • Streamline accounting functions and operations to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Engage in continuous education and staff development, stay current with the latest industry trends and changes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An advanced degree or professional certification such as CPA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in the finance industry.
  • Proficient in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, especially in MS Excel.
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger functions, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
  • Proven expertise in implementing and maintaining internal controls.
  • Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
