Cardiovascular Surgical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

At Cynet Health, we are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Cardiovascular Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU). As a RN in this role, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities:- Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.
- Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
- Participate in identifying and meeting learning needs, attending education programs as required.
- Assess readiness to learn and developmental level of patients, considering factors affecting their ability to learn.
- Identify expected patient outcomes and revise plans of care as needed.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions to evaluate patient care and promote continuity of care.
- Demonstrate competence in caring for patients with complex problems, addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs.
- Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required.
- Utilize healthcare organization and nursing standards, policies, and procedures in care delivery.
- Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs and consult with appropriate resources as needed.
- Develop professional growth goals and participate in performance improvement activities.
- Give feedback to co-workers and promote a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment.
- Assess and anticipate discharge needs, building relationships with families to advocate for patients' needs.
- Collaborate with patients and families to prepare and update care plans.
- Incorporate multidisciplinary resources and addresses cultural and ethnic issues in planning care.
- Engage in research by reading applicable journals and contributing ideas and questions for assessment.
