Position Summary
The Electrical Systems Maintenance Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair services for hoist and crane systems. This role demands a commitment to professional integrity and ethical standards to foster customer trust and ensure ongoing success in service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and evaluate overhead cranes, hoists, and other lifting mechanisms.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with customers and office personnel to address equipment repair needs effectively.
- Assess and recommend necessary repairs to enhance customer operations.
- Maintain strong customer relationships by addressing complaints, proposing solutions, and suggesting improvements.
- Service overhead crane systems through quality installations, inspections, and emergency response.
- Document all service and installation activities through detailed reports and checklists.
- Ensure timely communication with customers regarding service issues and completion timelines.
- Exhibit professionalism in appearance, punctuality, and organization in all work-related areas.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.

- Proficient in structural welding (certification required).
- Knowledge of OSHA/ANSI inspection criteria.
- Expertise in troubleshooting electrical circuits (single or three-phase, AC or DC).

- Willingness to travel as required.

- Ability to operate service vehicles under various weather conditions.

Supervisory Duties
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This role operates primarily in a field environment, utilizing various tools and equipment including hand tools, power tools, and safety gear. The work environment consists of 50% indoor and 50% outdoor settings, with varying levels of noise and ventilation.
Physical Requirements
Physical demands include frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, and overhead reaching. The role may require lifting up to 100 pounds and involves regular use of hand tools and machinery.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with standard hours typically from Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. However, flexibility is required as this is a 24/7 service role that may involve extended hours and weekend work.
Travel Requirements
Local travel is expected during business hours, with occasional out-of-town and overnight travel.
