  • Prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax reports, including W-2s, W-3s, and Forms 1099-MISC.
  • Perform monthly financial close and related activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Complete assignments within budgeted time and meet tight deadlines, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Ensure assignments meet the firm's service quality standards and become familiar with the firm's practices and policies.
  • Identify and communicate engagement matters to managers and partners, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Establish business contacts with clients and provide excellent customer service, following up in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Completion of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
  • 3-4 years of accounting experience, with a focus on financial statement preparation and account reconciliation.
  • Actively working towards CPA certification, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • CPA firm experience a plus, with a strong understanding of accounting software and systems.
Preferred Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft programs, with a strong understanding of accounting software and systems.
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks or other accounting software packages, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex accounting concepts to clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle multiple engagements simultaneously, while maintaining consistency and accuracy.
  • Ability to successfully interact with staff and clients, with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
