Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Memorial Hermann Health System. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for providing expert patient care and support during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supports the goals of the surgical team by providing expert perioperative patient care.
  • Verifies the functioning and availability of supplies, instruments, and equipment prior to surgical procedures.
  • Ensures safe care to patients, staff, and visitors by adhering to all Memorial Hermann policies and procedures.
  • Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory continuing education and skills competency.
  • Demonstrates commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program or Licensed as an LVN in the State of Texas who has completed an internship.
  • Certified in Basic Life Support.
  • Grandfathered Surgical Technologists must have been actively employed to practice surgical technology in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center since before September 1, 2009.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Surgical Technologist experience.
  • Orthopedic experience required.
