About the Role

Prairie State Energy Campus is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our team for a 12-13 week summer internship program. As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects related to power plant operations and contribute to the development of new technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of plant engineering projects, including optimization and improvement initiatives.
  • Support project management duties, including research and development activities.
  • Deliver technical presentations to internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address operational challenges.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited mechanical engineering or related program.
  • Good academic standing and a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
  • Availability for a 12-13 week internship program, beginning in mid-to-late May and ending in early-to-mid August.
