Cliff Berry, Inc. is on the lookout for a Commercial Vehicle Operator with a Class B CDL. The perfect candidate will possess a CDL B license along with a HazMat endorsement and have a minimum of 1 year of driving experience. Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays may be required during on-call or emergency situations. A TWIC card must be obtained within 60 days of employment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize Health and Safety by adhering to policies and procedures, ensuring safe conduct at all times.
  • Operate trucks with capacities exceeding 10 tons for the transportation and delivery of oil and/or gas.
  • Collect waste oil from various customer sites, including garages, gas stations, automotive dealerships, quick-change oil services, fleet maintenance facilities, bus companies, airports, and rental car services.
  • Maintain accurate logs of working hours and vehicle service or repair status, complying with state and federal regulations while observing all traffic laws.
  • Inspect the vehicle to confirm that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are functioning properly.
  • Review bills of lading to ascertain assignment details.
  • Report any defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicle.
  • Utilize hoses to pump out tanks and drums, similar to operations performed by an oil pumping truck.
  • Collect receipts, payments, or signatures for services when necessary.
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid.
  • Participate in random DOT drug and alcohol screenings as per regulations.
  • Maintain a valid Florida commercial driver's license and medical certification.
  • Carry out additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Class B CDL is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in commercial driving.
  • Air Brakes and Hazmat endorsements are required.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in heavy haul oil or gasoline transportation.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is necessary.

Physical Requirements:
