Job Summary:The Certified Hand Therapist will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to patients with hand and upper extremity injuries or conditions. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with hand and upper extremity injuries or conditions.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine patient needs and goals.
- Provide hands-on therapy services, including exercises, modalities, and adaptive equipment training.
- Collaborate with referring physicians, other healthcare professionals, and patients to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current national registration and state licensure or registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Valid state driver's license.
- Ability to lift patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the day.
- Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a workday.
- Visual acuity sufficient to evaluate, diagnose, and monitor patient needs.
- Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
