The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a highly skilled Physician to lead the section of Head and Neck Medical Oncology and serve as Co-Director of the Head and Neck Cancer Center of Excellence. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a renowned institution and contribute to the advancement of cancer care.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for overseeing patient care, clinical research, and training programs involving head and neck cancer in the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology. They will also be expected to become a member of the Cancer Clinical Investigations (CCI) program and co-lead the Head & Neck Disease Focus Group (DFG), a multidisciplinary committee that provides oversight of clinical research in head and neck cancer.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of accomplishment in clinical research, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a system work ethic. They will be expected to participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven health system and contribute to the development of innovative solutions to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Head, Section of Head & Neck Medical Oncology
  • Co-director, Center of Excellence in Head and Neck Cancer
  • Clinical Support staff: Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, and Medical Assistants
  • Administrative and clinical research support staff
  • EMR system: Epic

Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree from an Accredited University
  • New York Medical License
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Medical Oncology
  • Associate professor or professor with established track record of accomplishment including clinical research
  • Track record of current and/or prior NCI funding preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills
  • A system work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven health system

Compensation range: $375K - $450K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)
