Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Defense Health Agency Civilian Corps in Falls Church, VA. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our Military Servicemen, Families, and Retirees.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial patient assessments to identify major complaints, symptoms, or reasons for seeking healthcare.
  • Perform routine procedures, such as vital sign checks, behavioral health screenings, and immunization administration.
  • Provide individualized nursing care to patients of all ages based on physician orders and patient needs.
  • Assist physicians with examinations and diagnostic procedures.
  • Screen and review immunization records to select required immunizations and administer them to patients.
  • Document patient care and teaching in accordance with specified procedures and regulations.
  • Exercise independent judgment in professional diagnosis, treatment, referral, and disposition of patients.
Requirements
  • A current license to practice as a practical/vocational nurse in a State or territory of the United States or District of Columbia.
  • One year of nursing experience in a hospital, outpatient clinic, nursing home, or other supervised medical, nursing, or patient care facility.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and/or irregular tour of duty, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
