Construction Project Manager

As a seasoned Construction Project Manager, you will oversee and manage all aspects of government commercial construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires a professional with extensive experience in project management, particularly within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Ensure project milestones and deliverables are met according to the established schedule.
- Budget and Cost Management:
- Oversee project budgets, ensuring cost control and adherence to financial plans.
- Monitor and manage all project expenditures and report on budget variances.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead, mentor, and manage project teams, including subcontractors, engineers, and architects.
- Foster a collaborative environment, ensuring clear communication and coordination among all team members.
- Regulatory Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure that all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including building codes and safety standards.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect all personnel on-site.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, government agencies, and other key stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on project status, addressing any concerns or requests from stakeholders.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure that all work is performed to the highest quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify that construction is progressing according to plans and specifications.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
- Monitor risk factors throughout the project and adjust plans accordingly.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, permits, and reports.
- Prepare and present detailed project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project management within the commercial construction industry, with government contracts.
- PMP certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex construction projects from start to finish.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
