Position Summary:

As a Petroleum Transport Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to operate a bob truck (tank wagon truck) for the delivery of petroleum products to various clients. Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to dispatcher directives to ensure safe and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Navigate designated routes while complying with all traffic laws and safety protocols.
  • Load and unload fuel tankers, ensuring strict adherence to safety standards and accurate documentation.
  • Utilize loading arms and card readers at facilities, and operate auxiliary pumps for loading and unloading.
  • Measure and record the quantity of product delivered, following all DOT and Hazmat regulations.
  • Conduct spill clean-up and perform inspections on tankers to minimize accident risks.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine maintenance checks.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork in accordance with company policies.
  • Conduct safety inspections on vehicles and equipment as mandated by company standards.
  • Monitor vehicle service needs, including oil, water, fuel, and tire checks.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, demonstrating professionalism and courtesy at all times.
  • Uphold company image standards and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain familiarity with company policies and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Accurately log hours worked and maintain daily records as required by DOT.
  • Work safely at all times and report any incidents to dispatch immediately.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (Class A preferred) with tanker and hazmat endorsements, and a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of one year experience operating a bobtail truck.
  • TWIC certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to pass DOT drug testing and physical examination.
  • Familiarity with DOT and CDL regulations is essential.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, reaching, and climbing.
  • Capability to operate a vehicle for extended periods.
  • Must possess keen attention to detail and dexterity in vehicle operation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and perform basic arithmetic.
  • Maintain a constant state of alertness to ensure safety.
