Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Marketing Coordinator to support our marketing and promotional campaigns in our Washington, D.C. office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with event planning, execution, and coordination for major and independent film and television releases, live theater shows, and other entertainment-related events.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with third-party companies to create strategic partnerships and events.
  • Organize grassroots and word-of-mouth activity at high-traffic festivals and events.
  • Research and maintain a database for various grassroots partners, word-of-mouth organizations, media, and influencers.
  • Negotiate trade partnerships with television, radio, print, and online media outlets for coverage.
  • Assist with talent interviews, press tours, and publicity stunts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with bloggers, influencers, and college press.
Requirements:
  • 1+ years of full-time or relevant intern experience, preferably in the entertainment industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or public relations preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle a variety of clients and projects at the same time.
  • Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Stellar written and verbal communications skills to effectively influence press, promo partners, and internal staff.
  • Weekend and evening availability to work events.
  • Interest in the latest marketing trends and technologies.
  • Knowledge of the local area, including media outlets, events, and organizations.
