We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Packaging Mechanic to join our team in Wenatchee, Washington. As a Mechanical Packaging Mechanic, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and repairing our packaging machines, including tray pack HSCs and DRCs.
Responsibilities- Design, manufacture, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and replace mechanical and electrical components on packaging equipment.
- Work as part of a team in a manufacturing/production operations environment to increase productivity, reduce downtime, and waste.
- Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures.
- Work with a sense of urgency to reduce client downtime.
- Develop a close relationship with customers to aid in becoming a preferred supplier.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- One-year steady work history in a maintenance role and/or technical certification.
- Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to work on call, weekends, and overtime as required.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
- Proper general maintenance and troubleshooting practices.
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems.
- Good interpersonal skills, planning, and organizing skills, ability to work independently, and a high degree of self-motivation.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good computer skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, tables, charts, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to read technical service literature and accurately follow instructions provided.
- Must be willing to pursue ongoing technical training to enhance capabilities.
- Must be able to occasionally travel in the USA and Canada.
- 2 to 5 years of practical application experience in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic maintenance functions.
- 2+ years of experience in successfully troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery and/or technical degree in a related field.
- Experience with common local box machines.
