About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a skilled professional to join our Independent Testing & Validation team as an Independent Testing Specialist. This role is part of Corporate Risk and requires a strong understanding of risk management frameworks and regulatory reporting compliance.

The successful candidate will participate in the development and design of methodologies and standards for review activities companywide, ensuring effective and appropriate testing, validation, and documentation of review activities for risk programs, risks, and controls according to standards and other applicable policies.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial services industry compliance, risk management, and audit operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development and design of methodologies and standards for review activities companywide.
  • Ensure effective and appropriate testing, validation, and documentation of review activities for risk programs, risks, and controls according to standards and other applicable policies.
  • Support and implement initiatives with low to moderate risk and exercise independent judgment to guide risk reporting, escalation, and resolution.
  • Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in risk management framework and the risk and control environment.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of Independent Testing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • Strong understanding of financial services industry compliance, risk management, and audit operations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in regulatory reporting and risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, internal audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, business process management) or 2+ years of financial services industry experience.
  • Direct experience in regulatory reporting and testing.
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial services industry: compliance, risk management, or audit operations.
