Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Technology Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with identifying, acquiring, and maintaining hardware, software, and network products. This role also involves implementing the system and building-level technology plans, collaborating with teachers to develop curriculum materials, and facilitating staff development in technology integration.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in planning and implementing technology infrastructure projects to ensure continuous availability of information resources to the school community.
- Collaborate with teachers to develop curriculum materials that integrate technology effectively.
- Conduct staff development sessions on technology integration, North Carolina Computer/Technology Skills Curriculum, and North Carolina Technology Competencies for Educators.
- Serve as the school contact for addressing hardware and software issues.
- Work with the principal and school leadership team to provide access to technology resources and services.
- Degree in computer science or a related field (preferable).
- Professional certification in relevant areas (e.g., CCNS, CISSP, MCSE).
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication ability, both written and verbal.
- Possess a work ethic and personal belief system that aligns with the mission and vision of East Wake Academy.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
Working ConditionsThis position requires sedentary work, with occasional walking and standing. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform tasks such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal.
