About this Role

As an IT Engineer at Astronomer, you will work closely with IT leadership to evaluate current systems and propose solutions. You will be a key technical resource, providing advice, training, and technical support to people across the organization, in functions as diverse as sales operations, product management, and site reliability.

  • Strategize for, set up, and maintain integrations and workflows that automate core business processes and build operational capacity (Okta and Okta Workflows).
  • Evaluate and administer applications, software, and cloud platforms in partnership with business leads.
  • Provide technical assistance, support, and troubleshooting via a ticketing system.
  • Document processes for the IT department and company at large.
  • Create purchase orders for IT equipment and manage the purchase process.
  • Ensure timely onboarding and offboarding of employees.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience managing hardware, software, and related technologies.
  • Knowledge of IT vendor management.
  • Solid knowledge of best practices in IT, Systems, and SaaS Operations.
  • Strong documentation and user training skills.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for driving technical projects.
  • Independence and the ability to own and execute tasks and workflows.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience managing Windows and Intune.
Desirable Qualifications

Bonus points if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT in an engineering or senior support role.
  • ITIL or CompTIA certification(s).
  • Experience with Okta in general and implementing Okta Workflows.
  • Startup experience or experience at a SaaS company.
  • Experience in GCP, AWS, and Azure.

The estimated salary for this role ranges from $125,000 - $165,000, along with an equity component. This range reflects willingness to consider candidates with differing prior seniority. Actual compensation may deviate based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
