Healthcare Support Professional

At Rutland Regional Medical Center, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide exceptional patient care and support services under the direction of our practice providers or nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for encounters, assist clinicians in delivering care, and maintain examination rooms, equipment, and supplies.
- Conduct clerical and scheduling duties in conjunction with patient contact.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Medical Assistant program graduation preferred.
- 1-2 Years Medical Assistant experience in a physician practice or outpatient clinic setting.
- 1 year of secretarial or administrative experience with medical terminology.
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
- Nationally accredited Medical Assistant Certification/Registration (preferred) or Vermont State LNA License (preferred).
- Ability to report patient care observations, deviations from patient care plans, and other pertinent information under supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Moderate knowledge of basic computer skills.
- Moderate knowledge of Medical Terminology.
- Infection control knowledge.
- Venipuncture skills desirable.
