Focus on Writing Tools:
Our mission is to enhance the input experience—utilizing Keyboard, Dictation, Apple Pencil, and more—making it more inclusive and accessible for all users, irrespective of their language or background.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop code for Input Methods across various languages, including Chinese, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Tamil, Vietnamese, and others.
  • Design and implement Keyboard Layouts for over 100 languages.
  • Engage at the forefront of user experience for input, integrated with Apple Intelligence, including Writing Tools.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams—such as Accessibility, Hardware, Human Interface, NLP, Privacy, etc.—to address both design and engineering challenges, ensuring that next-generation experiences are accessible to all Apple customers.
  • Contribute to the broader internationalization community both within and outside of Apple, including participation in the open-source CLDR project.

Minimum Qualifications:
BS or MS in Computer Science or a related discipline
Proficiency in a C-like programming language (Java, C, C++, Objective-C, Swift, etc.)
Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and coding standards
Experience with unit testing, emphasizing high-quality software
A genuine passion for languages and enhancing Apple's products
Experience in developing iOS applications using Apple's UI frameworks

Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with internationalization and Unicode standards

Compensation & Benefits:
At Apple, base pay is one component of our comprehensive compensation package and is determined within a specified range. This allows for growth as you advance in your role.

The base pay range for this position is between $121,909 and $214,500 annually, with your base pay reflecting your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Employees may also be eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
