Role Responsibilities:
This role is situated within the Outpatient Department, where you will support both patients and medical personnel in an ambulatory care environment. Key responsibilities include:
  • Maintaining professional competencies and participating in ongoing education and training programs.
  • Ensuring a safe and clean working environment, managing supplies, and addressing any equipment issues.
  • Providing clinical services in collaboration with healthcare providers and clinic staff to uphold high standards of care.
  • Leading clinic operations, including front desk management and patient care.
  • Overseeing medication inventory and conducting quality control checks on Point of Care tests.
  • Documenting all patient care and services accurately and promptly.
  • Assisting providers and staff by anticipating their needs to facilitate efficient patient care.
  • Communicating effectively with various departments to enhance resource utilization and patient support.
  • Flexibility to work early morning hours and Saturdays as required.

Qualifications:
Applicants must possess:
  • A current, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska or proof of application for licensure.
  • A minimum of one year of acute care experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of nursing processes and the ability to apply them in practice.
  • Understanding of safety and infection control protocols.

Skills:
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • A willingness to seek assistance when faced with new challenges.

Travel Requirements:
Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time is necessary.

Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: $99 per hour
Standard Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday
