Hydraulic Valve Assembler

Job Overview

Aerotek is seeking a skilled Hydraulic Valve Assembler to join our team in Amherst, NY. This role involves assembling various sizes of hydraulic valves, following work orders and blueprints to ensure precise and accurate assembly.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a good understanding of assembly processes, and a willingness to cross-train in other areas, including machine operation, shipping and receiving, and inventory management.

Estimated Salary: $20-$25 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble hydraulic valves of various sizes in accordance with work orders and blueprints.
• Retrieve, handle, and return parts required for valve assembly, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Cross-train in other departments, including machine operation, shipping and receiving, and inventory management.
• Safely lift and handle materials weighing up to 50+ pounds as needed during the assembly process.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed work orders for valve assembly.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, with hands-on experience using basic hand tools.
• Previous assembly experience, ideally with hydraulic valves or similar mechanical components.
• Familiarity with marking, inventory management, and shipping/receiving processes is a plus.
