Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Instructional Designer to join our team at the Institute for Intergovernmental Research. As an instructional designer, you will play a critical role in developing high-quality educational materials for our criminal justice programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop instructional materials using a variety of modalities, including hybrid, in-person, virtual, and eLearning.
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts and other departments to design, develop, and revise courses and associated materials.
  • Facilitate curriculum development meetings and train subject-matter experts on course design processes and products.
  • Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts.
  • Develop measurable instructional goals and performance objectives and ensure that content matches those goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in instructional systems, instructional design, educational technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of directly related experience, including designing and storyboarding classroom, online learning, and/or e-learning products.
  • Strong understanding of sound instructional design principles and the proper utilization of technology to enhance training delivery.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and business acumen to interact with many different departments and decision-makers within and outside of the organization.
