Key Responsibilities- Perform nuclear medicine procedures and evaluate images for technical quality, ensuring high standards of accuracy and precision.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, adhering to strict safety protocols and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures, including radiation surveys, dose calibrator assays, and quality control/quality assurance procedures.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal imaging outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in nuclear medicine technology and best practices, participating in ongoing training and education to enhance skills and knowledge.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine technology program preferred.
- Registered or registry-eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- Temporary Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification by the Texas Medical Board, with permanent certification required within one year.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
