Key Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Restock automated dispensing cabinets, maintain inventory, and perform cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare sterile products, including compounding and packaging medications, following standard procedures.
- Fill floor stock remote orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with nursing, physicians, and ancillary services to meet patient needs and maintain a positive working relationship.
- Participate in quality control measures, including temperature inspections and medication storage area inspections.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician Registration required.
- One year of pharmacy-related experience preferred.
- Ability to walk and stand 90% of the day, with occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Frequent reaching and grasping below, at, and above shoulder level.
- Pushing and/or pushing non-motorized equipment weighing 40 to 60 lbs.
- Manual dexterity required for operating prescription medications and computer keyboard.
- Ability to see medications, computer screen, and reports.
- Reading automated dispensing reports regularly.
- Works in an area with some discomfort due to dust, dirt, and temperature changes.
- May be exposed to broken glass and some exposure to hazardous chemicals.
